Animation Test 6: It's time to get back to these

This is another test where I tried two different frame rates. I also decided to give a try at animating animals, since it was suggested to me during a critique. Unlike the other tests I did, this one isn't a bland character I pasted on the construction, this is all straight from the Preston Blair book.
Unlike the running cycle, this test works at both speeds since the drawings are close enough together. I prefer the 24 fps since it's smoother, but some people have told me they prefer the 12 fps, although I can't remember why. Out of all the tests I did, I think this one turned out the best, but it's honestly only because it was the easiest.
The bird had simple construction and much less detail than that guy I was drawing. And, for the most part, the drawings feel pretty solid. The line width is well done, and the movement is fluid. The wing on the eighth drawing feels a little clunky, and I didn't give any thought to the tail feathers. They just seem to go wherever the hell they want.
